Greatness Requires Greatness

Updated: Mar 12

We all desire to walk in greatness—whether in our faith, our purpose, our relationships, or our calling. But greatness isn’t handed to us—it requires something in return.

Greatness requires greatness. This means that in order to achieve something great, we must bring a great mindset, great effort, great faith, and great discipline to the table.

Let’s break it down:

1. Great Effort Produces Great Results

You cannot expect extraordinary outcomes with an ordinary effort. The women in the Bible who walked in their divine calling—Esther, Ruth, Deborah, and Mary—each had to step up, take action, and trust God in a bold way.

💡 What you put in is what you get out. If you want to fulfill a great purpose, you must put in great effort, prayer, preparation, and perseverance.

2. Great Discipline Leads to Great Success

The road to greatness requires sacrifice, consistency, and discipline. You can’t build a strong spiritual life, a thriving business, or a meaningful ministry without being diligent and committed to the process.

If you want to grow in your faith, be disciplined in prayer, fasting, and studying the Word.

If you want to build something lasting, be consistent in your work, learning, and perseverance.

If you want to make an impact, be intentional in how you use your time, energy, and gifts.

💡 Greatness is not built overnight—it is cultivated through daily habits and intentional choices.

3. Great Character Shapes Great Impact

Your gift may open doors, but your character is what keeps you there. To be truly great in God’s eyes, you must have integrity, humility, and love guiding your every step.

🛑 You can’t have great impact if your heart isn’t right.

💡 When you commit to growing in wisdom, grace, and righteousness, you will naturally walk into the greatness God has planned for you.

4. Great Faith Unlocks Great Blessings

God calls us to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Many of the great women in the Bible didn’t see the full picture of what God was doing, but they trusted Him anyway.

🙌 Esther didn’t know how the king would respond, but she stepped forward.🙌 Ruth didn’t know what her future held, but she followed God’s leading.🙌 Mary didn’t understand how she would carry the Messiah, but she surrendered to God’s plan.

💡 Faith in God is what allows you to step into greater purpose, greater doors, and greater impact.

Final Thought: Walking in Greatness

If you are called to greatness, then great things will be required of you. You must be willing to:

Work when no one is watching

Stay disciplined when it’s hard

Hold onto your character in tough times

Trust God when the road ahead isn’t clear

💡 God has called you to great things, but will you rise up and meet the challenge?

🙏 It’s time to step into the greatness that God has placed inside of you. You were made for such a time as this! (Esther 4:14)
